Sober Warriors

Our Mission

Through our program our trainers and coaches will teach you to rely on yourself, to value the input of others, and most importantly to respect both your skills and those of others. You will develop a level of self-confidence that you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get acclimated, the effect of a structured organized program is almost immediate. All of a sudden, there is a positive release of energy and frustration. The knowledge that the gym is a “safe haven” from the street can also provide comfort and support in challenging times.

Our trainers provide continued support and education no matter what stage of recovery you are in. The health benefits of boxing go beyond physical improvements like strength and agility. Our program builds self-esteem and healthy coping skills that will help you navigate sobriety.

Chad’s Story

Chad “The Lion” Leoncello is a man of long-term recovery and has been sober for over 7 years. On September 2, 2016 he laced up his boxing gloves for the first time and never looked back.

The Lion’s road to recovery started with his “why” or as he would tell you, “the something or someone more important than yourself”. Chad’s “why” is still his son, Carlo. Boxing helped him stay the course and create a healthy, sober lifestyle.

Chad is also a certified recovery coach that uses boxing to help, mentor men and women in recovery, channel their inner warrior, and find healthier ways to cope.

Also known as the Soberwarrior, The Lion has helped many addicts on their journey to sobriety. He has donated heavy bags to sober living homes through New England allowing men and woman to release their day-to-day struggles and emotions on a heavy bag instead of with drugs or alcohol.
